Description

These Breakfast Rolls with Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese are a delicious and satisfying way to start your day. Soft and flaky crescent rolls are stuffed with scrambled eggs, savory turkey sausage, and melted cheddar cheese, creating a warm, comforting breakfast that’s both hearty and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • ½ pound turkey sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 large eggs, scrambled
  • ¼ cup milk (optional, for fluffier eggs)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for brushing rolls)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

2️⃣ Cook the Sausage:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Once done, remove from heat and set aside.

3️⃣ Prepare the Eggs:
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (if using), salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook, stirring gently, until just set. The eggs should be soft and slightly undercooked, as they will finish cooking in the oven.

4️⃣ Assemble the Rolls:
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. For each triangle, layer:

A spoonful of scrambled eggs

A portion of cooked turkey sausage

A sprinkle of shredded cheese
Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the pointed tip, enclosing the filling. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, tip-side down.

5️⃣ Bake:
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. If desired, brush the tops with melted butter immediately after baking for added flavor.

6️⃣ Serve:
Serve warm, optionally with ketchup, hot sauce, or a side of fruit for a balanced breakfast.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any cheese you prefer—cheddar, mozzarella, or even a spicy pepper jack.
  • If you’d like extra flavor, sprinkle some herbs like chives or parsley on top before baking.
  • You can prepare the filling (eggs and sausage) in advance for a quicker breakfast on busy mornings.
